As a retired Army Major, I have learned through my training and experience to observe any given situation, determine what the problems are, develop solutions to the problems, implement the best solution and make changes to the implementation of the solution as needed.

The Citrus County Sheriff is constitutionally and statutorily elected by the voters. The citizens that elect a sheriff should have confidence that their sheriff will conduct business and behave with the highest ethical and professional standards.
My name is Calvin L. Adams Jr. I am a native Floridian and moved to Citrus County when I was just four weeks old. I retired in 2015 with over 30 years of law enforcement service as the Colonel and Director of Law Enforcement for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC). I provided leadership and overall authority for a statewide law enforcement agency with 1,200 employees, of which 900 were certified Florida sworn law enforcement officers.
As a candidate for Citrus County Sheriff, I pledge an oath to you, The People, to follow and abide by the standards of the US Constitution. I also would ensure that all sheriff’s office employees enforce the law and conduct business fairly and equally by mandating strict adherence to the Amendments of the US Constitution.
As your sheriff, I will create all the policies and be the final responsible authority for all operational decisions regarding the use of all assets, to include personnel and equipment. You can trust that if elected to the office of Citrus County Sheriff, I will not be beholden to any special interest group. The personnel and assets of the Sheriff’s Office will not be commandeered or subverted by any outside force. I will not take unrighteous direction from any individual person, corporation, or other local, state, or federal government entity.
If you elect me as your sheriff, I promise to protect you and your property while ensuring you have your individual US Constitutional rights to ensure your own safety and protect your own property as defined in the amendments.
I will also support and defend your individual rights, to prevent the government from abuses of power, to protect your basic civil liberties and freedoms that are available to all citizens. I would individually stand strong, defending your Life, Liberty, and Property as it appears in the due process clauses of both the Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments of the US Constitution and oppose anyone that attempts to infringe on the equal protection of Citrus County citizens.
As a steward of your hard-earned tax dollars, I will freely publish drilled down detailed expenditures, line by line reports to show you exactly how “every – single - dollar” you pay in taxes is spent. We the People, deserve to know how the Sheriff’s Office is spending our money. The recurring annual budget I managed with FWC was $128,000,000.00, which included a fleet of 1,000 vehicles, 500 vessels, 100 all-terrain type vehicles, and 15 aircraft. I operated in total sunshine, there is a very small percentage of law enforcement sensitive redaction required, the currently cloaked budget secrecy is absurd.
I will not use the Office of Sheriff for private gain, I am on a mission, and this is not a steppingstone for me.
As the past director of a large Florida law enforcement agency, I have extensive public safety experience and made final decisions on all administrative, finance, personnel, and operational matters for a modern civilian law enforcement agency.

If you take anything out of this story, please take the following. When we look at history, we see a common element in the loss of people’s rights. The loss of justice, once people lose control of their legal process, they no longer possess rights. That is the beginning of what is known as the state govt, only one state of authority over the masses of people, the list of countries is numerous.
We are very close to losing control, we no longer have a Dept of Justice (DOJ). Only those who sadly lack common sense fail to realize it. The light I see is the Supreme Court which still believes in the Constitution & all other founding documents. The Supreme Court of the United States is the only court specifically established by the Constitution of the United States, implemented in 1789. I now see the importance of the Founders in creating it. The only troubling aspect of this is with the enforcement of a Supreme Court decision if you have a DOJ unwilling to comply. This is why it’s critical to have Constitutionally sound states securing justice for its citizens.
I noticed one of the first to organize around children in questioning govt action were The Parents, & now they are many across the country & they are winning, making changes to protect children. The Parents movement isn’t about equity, diversity, or race, it’s only about protecting children & that includes everyone to be successful. They were the first to oppose the left's agenda when the DOJ made the mistake of attacking them.
Another mistake is when they indicted Trump for Jan 6th. That opens the door to discovery into the 2020 election in every state he feels the election was stolen. Also, it opens the door to discovery into events at the Capital on that day much of which is still hidden from the public. This could be the final mistake the left makes causing a wealth of info being released to the public. The left believes one has a right to change their sex simply by declaring it, whatever sex you say you are that’s reality. However, it doesn’t stop there, you can also declare your race, on TikTok RCTA is short for race change to another. Simply if you don’t like the reality of your birth, just change it. Evidence shows us millions of people have entered the country illegally, and our economy is hurting Americans, yet we are told the border is secure & the economy is looking good. They are now calling the movie ‘Sound of Freedom’, a conspiracy. The true story of sex trafficking never happened, it’s all made up. However, a decade ago when that story was made public (years before the movie) the same media expressed outrage over what was happening to children, but now it’s a conspiracy. They also stopped talking about the Durham report (let’s not forget that) after it revealed a conspiracy against Trump.
So far, we know of a Chinese bio lab in America, China purchasing land around military bases, China supplying drugs to the Mexican cartels, Chinese nationals of military age illegally crossing the border, & another lab in China is funded by the Centers for Disease Control. In case ya didn’t know, this entire Biden thing is on the verge of being an explosion of facts people will no longer be able to suppress & others will no longer be able to be unaware of. At that point, it will be clear to most Americans that now is the time they must change government.
Then it’s not about an issue addressing the economy, education, crime, or immigration, there are many, etc. The only major issue to address is the changing of government which is responsible for all those issues. Which brings us to a critical element in that change. This isn’t about red or blue, Dem or Rep, liberal or conservative, it’s about preserving this Constitutional Republic & a way of life. However, the only effective avenue is called a Republican party, you don’t have to believe in a Republican party you only have to believe as an American it’s the only sound option open to you to change govt.
You must understand what we are up against as Americans. Never in our history have we faced the issues we face today. Never in history has the fate of America been in the hands of each of us as it is today.

THE FACTS MATTER - Van Yandell
Isaiah 45:12 “I made the earth and created man on it; it was my hands that stretched out the heavens, and I commanded all their host.”
It is the first week of August. Sitting on the front porch enjoying my coffee and mostly quiet time required for waking up, I can’t help but notice the varying colors of the leaves in the woods across the road.
We have noticed in just the last few days, the colors of the leaves are changing. Many do not notice the change until the vibrant colors of October are reached and then the cameras come out. To witness the power of God in the changing of the seasons can be a spiritual experience few realize.
One can observe the power of God in that He set the planet, the solar system, the galaxy and the universe in motion. God made science; He determined the physics, the astronomy and all other sciences including the functions of our bodies, the number of legs required for insects and the number of electrons orbiting an oxygen atom.
Every molecule, every atom, and every proton and neutron were designed and engineered by Him and without Him nothing would exist. John 1: 3 “All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.”
Over the next few months, I’ll continue to sit on that front porch most mornings. The leaves will continue to change colors until they are many shades of golden yellow, red and a myriad of other colors.
Finally, those leaves will begin to fall and the autumn blessings of tolerable temperatures will give way to frosty mornings and eventually a cold north wind will bring snow.
As the winter cold will bring killing frosts, the far north of the northern hemisphere will appear to be dead or dying. Tree limbs will become frozen and even a few trees that have died on the inside will be hollowed out by the decay.
The result will be that the core will fill with water and the tree will literally explode from the prolonged freezing temperatures. Nature has a way of cleaning up the mess but it may take years for the remains of the downed trees to fully decay and become the compost of the forest floor.
Those dead trees will eventually be the home of ferns, flowers and many other kinds of plant life. I stand amazed at the perfection of our God’s skills in setting the things of this world in motion and how He has a perfect schedule.
About March of next year, those trees that appeared to be dead will spring to life. Buds will appear and soon thereafter, leaves will provide shade for the forest floor and the many animals that call the forests their home.
The grass will turn green and another sign of God’s amazing work will manifest itself. He is the great architect and designer. Crops will be planted by farmers and the land will become green once again.
Christ Jesus literally died on the cross of Calvary. His body was prepared for burial and those in the preparation room would certainly have known if He had been alive. His body was mostly drained of blood and His earthly body could not have possibly lived in its condition.
Yet, in three days He arose (Matthew 28: 6) and forty days later ascended into Heaven (Acts 1: 9). He was seen alive by hundreds and many of those documented that fact. Just as our earth resurrects itself every spring, Jesus was resurrected. God can bring to life the things that are, or seem to be dead.
Just as our Creator set the earth in motion to regulate the days and seasons, He also set our solar system in motion and balance. The perfect equilibrium keeps the planets and moons in orbit. The speed of the planets as they orbit the sun and the rotational speed determine gravity and the tilting of the earth to cause the seasons. You think God didn’t think of everything? Think again!
Yet many believe these things happened by chance and accident. Is this possible? You decide. There are literally thousands of beliefs in the world based on the writings and opinions of men. It really doesn’t matter what any man can have as an opinion; only God’s opinion matters.
We are taught to believe by faith (Ephesians 2: 8-9) and that is good. Faith is a belief system that is a gift of God. We were not alive 2000 years ago to personally witness Him on earth. We did not see His miracles or Him crucified or Him resurrected and alive.
What we can see is His creation and the intricacy of it. His perfect earth, perfect solar system and perfect galaxy have been in motion since creation.
Romans 3: 23 “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” The “Glory of God” in this verse refers to His righteousness. His Glory, however is manifested before us also in His creation. Many times we observe the mountains and the seas, a newborn baby, and many other visions of His creation as His glory.
What we fail to see, is His glory in motion or three-dimensional. The blood that flows in our veins is in motion and an example of His omnipotence. Leviticus 17: 11 “For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.”
Scientists are continually learning about characteristics of the blood. These can be tested to reveal health problems and even ancestral traits that can be used for our well-being.
The practical information in The Holy Bible reveals so much information to us, it is literally unfathomable. Yet, many choose to deny its reliability and authenticity based on a personal notion or something they have been taught by a false teacher (Matthew 24: 4, 11 and 24).
Proverbs 3: 5 “Trust in the lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” This verse is not considered a commandment but it could qualify as one. It most certainly could be considered a warning against our own notions.
We cannot match wits (or wisdom) with God. He will win every time. I have come to believe, a major cause for the degradation of the morals (and other conditions) in this world is because we have ignored His teachings.
To try God is a lose-lose scenario destined to failure. If we examine the teachings of the Bible we find it sets the bar for human behavior and beliefs. To ignore these is a recipe for disaster!
God’s teachings are divinely designed to help and assist us. While humankind chooses to ignore these, chaos will continue to develop in our world.
Of the many things He teaches us, the absolute most important concerns eternal life. We earthlings cannot begin to fathom eternity because it is a concept we cannot relate to. Everything on earth has a beginning and an end. God’s kingdom does not!
The scripture teaches that eternal salvation is by a faith based belief that Christ Jesus shed His precious perfect blood for the remission of our sin and was resurrected from the dead. By believing this, salvation is a certainty.
For us to know the facts is important and the only way to know those facts of creation, salvation and the existence of a spiritual world is to read and study The Holy Bible.

THE FIRES OF MAUI
Mark 9: 43b-44 “It is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.”
It surely seems as if there is one disaster on this earth after another. Many claim these have always been and will always be. In my years, I certainly cannot remember a time in which there have been so many disasters, so frequently.
Maui has been and will continue to be the most beautiful of the islands. It was and mostly still is, (except for the Lahaina area), a tropical paradise. Unless one has been there, the majesty of the seashores to the mountains leaves one awestruck in amazement.
To have experienced this once tropical paradise and then see the “after” pictures is reminiscent of the Hiroshima pictures after the atomic bomb. Total devastation is difficult for many of us to comprehend but it happens and the word “victim” really becomes very powerful and meaningful.
We often hear spoken the words, “But, we are alive.” Granted that is precious and to each survivor, of utmost concern. Also, to consider the material things lost that can never be replaced is horrifying.
The death count this morning is at eighty souls. There are still many missing and that number will likely rise. Each of those was a precious family member to someone and their loss is devastating. We are in prayer for those and also pray in hope each individual had heard about the saving power of Jesus.
One man in Lahaina said “I can’t even prove who I am.” When told to be on the lookout for looters, one woman said, “Why? There’s nothing left!”
When seeing the aerial photos, I recognized roads I had driven on, the seaport where we docked and a street in the old section of town. Those places were not difficult to identify but had been reduced to burnt out rubble.
When we worked disaster relief with Christian agencies, after floods and hurricanes, it was not uncommon to see family pictures, Bibles, family documents and other non-replaceable items lying in front yards, soaked and covered in mud.
There is a period of disbelief on the part of victims. “Is this just a bad dream?” It takes a while to realize the reality of a disaster. Stages of grief apply in being victims of a disaster similar to losing a loved one.
Denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance are not only stages of grief but are stages of suffering. Physical or mental, suffering is very real and to lose everything materially, is a tragedy to anyone.
Workers in New York after the terrorist attack on September 11th, 2001, saw a surreal appearance in not only the place, but also in the people. We were there with a DR agency the weeks after the attack. The expressions on people’s faces showed a feeling of disbelief; those that were there the moment the planes hit the twin towers are unforgettable.
Luke 23: 42-43 “And he (the thief on the cross) said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when you come into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, today shalt thou be with me in paradise.” Jesus described Heaven as paradise.
We can quickly determine paradise here on earth is only temporary but the paradise Jesus described is eternal. We earthlings cannot comprehend eternity. All of our time factors/references have a beginning and an end. Eternity does not!
God’s paradise is so much more than man’s version. Many here on earth would describe paradise as a tropical island; I would consider a chalet in the Alps as my paradise. A paradise designed and built by our Creator will be beyond our wildest dreams.
Revelation 21: 1-4 “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”
Mankind has a choice! We can repent and accept the reality of a crucified and resurrected Savior; or we do not. The concept is simple: either we believe it, or we don’t! Christ Jesus shed His precious perfect blood for the sins of mankind (Hebrews 9: 22).
Preaching the Biblical reality of eternal punishment in the place commonly referred to as Hell, is something I prefer not to do. I will continue to promote the belief that Jesus came to the earth in the flesh (John 1: 14) to die for the sins of mankind because he loves His creation (us). He did not intend to scare us into Heaven.
But the simple truth is, the Bible teaches there is such a place. Matthew 25: 41 “Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels.” The fires in Hawaii will be extinguished; the fires of Hell will not!
Revelation 20: 15 “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” People try to word around these simple truths but they say what they say! It is my responsibility to share with people the reality of the scripture for what it says and not add to it or take from it.
Romans 10: 9-10 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
No one, especially me, would trivialize the horror of what the people of Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii have endured the last few days. And they will continue to suffer the effect of the fires for years after the rest of the world has only a superficial knowledge.
What the rest of the world must not forget is that prophesies in the Bible are happening as we watch, right here on earth, right now. Even though, many in our world disregard the words of God, the truth is evident if we will simply read, consider and believe.
The famines and pestilences of Matthew 24: 6 are ongoing. The characteristics of man described by Paul in 2 Timothy 3:1-5 are being witnessed worldwide. The Revelation 13 prophesies are being sought by the godless in our world not knowing what they’re asking for.
A world ignorant of Bible teachings is a dangerous world to live in and humanity is moving further away from God every day we exist.
To state an opinion: we will continue to see disasters and they will be like “the beginning of sorrows” as stated by Jesus in Matthew 24: 8. They will increase in frequency and intensity; this has already been witnessed.
We must always teach that eternal salvation is by a faith based belief in Christ Jesus crucified for the remission of sin and resurrected (Acts 12: 4).

Yet again, the CDC and big Pharma are trying to scare everyone that Covid is making a big comeback, so people will take the new Covid vaccine, together with the useless flu shot and the untested RSV shot. If you’re like me you’ve long since learned to think that anything out of the CDC that favors making their Pharmaceutical company puppeteers richer is false propaganda. Pray that the Biden/CCP administration does not subject us to a new regime of tyranny from the CCP controlled WHO, and call upon your Representative and Senators to take all necessary action to stop America from becoming subject to WHO rules.
It might be possible to believe something if the CDC acknowledged and apologized for all the lies and bad medical advice they have given to us for close upon 4 years:
1. They told us it came from Armadillos or some other animal sold in Wuhan wet markets and not a CCP weapons lab, and that the CCP was open and forthcoming with information so the World could fight the Virus with maximum effectiveness.
2. They told us that anyone over the age of 30 had to take maximum precautions to avoid getting the disease including staying home from work and out of school, social distancing and wearing masks.
3. They did not tell us how minuscule (under 0.001%) the infection and mortality risks were for anyone under 40 years old, and never explained why we were not entitled to know this.
4.They told us that Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine were ineffective and dangerous treatments and made it nearly impossible to obtain such treatments, even with a doctor’s prescription. They did not explain to us how widely used medications that had been safe for decades even for children could suddenly become dangerous. They did not tell us that they were laboring under a severe conflict of interest, because if there were successful alternative treatments, the Emergency Use Authorizations were not available, especially with the woeful clinical trials about effectiveness against contraction and transmission of the vaccines that historically would never have justified authorization or use of a vaccine.
5. They lied to us that after having a natural case of Covid 19, one did not obtain immunity and after being caught in the lie, they told us that natural immunity was not a s good as Covid immunity, when in fact it was much better.
6. They hid from us the data and incident reports of Adverse effects from the vaccine, and continue to lie about it even today. with massive evidence of the danger. They also do not inform us of scientific data showing that repeated vaccination tends to degrade the auto-immune systems in human bodies.
7. They continue to recommend vaccine boosters at least once a year.
8. They continue to pay massive sums for vaccine test kits spread all over the country like candy even when they don’t work.
I’m not buying this new bridge, and I pray that the government won’t force these measures on everyone again.

Dear Editor,
The front page Chroniclearticle of August 12, 2023 entitled "God and Southwest Airlines were their co-pilots" - really got my attention as I experienced also riding in a single-engine (Cessna)airplane landing on the highway, in the early 1970's.
Yes, the Good Lord was on my mind after the Pilot, my boyfriend Alan, yelled "May Day" over the radio - we were without power - gliding over trees - so I did pray to be saved from crashing. Funny in such a situation I did remember "What side my bread was buttered on"!. I heard a silent voice that told me not to look out of the window - so as not to be afraid. We narrowly avoided a power-line while decending - landing on U.S. Hwy A-1A, with no cars in sight. My prayer was answered!
Alan shoved the plane off the side of the road. The mechanic that worked on it said that it had lost a rod in the motor.
My parents heard about the highway landing from TV and of course were so glad that we made it!
Am glad that Henry and Catolyn Kahrs, along with myself survived our emergency landings - along with heavenly help!

Apparently, to Government employees only $325 Million. While the Government was making the Pharmaceutical companies and their employees fanatically wealthy, government employees also got rich from hidden royalty payments for their work for the government in developing the Covid 19 vaccine used to fight the disease they invented.
According to records, the former NIH Director, Dr. Francis Collins, and former NIAID Director, Dr. Anthony Fauci, made huge profits from royalty checks during the Chinese virus-fueled pandemic. At the same time, thousands of people struggled to put food on the table.
OpenTheBooks, a transparency organization, recently released over 1,500 unredacted records revealing the leaders of the country’s National Institutes of Health and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases profited off the virus that killed thousands of people.
On top of that, Fauci funded the Wuhan Institute of Virology to research the Coronavirus.
The records show Collins and Fauci got 58 royalty payments for allowing companies to use their COVID-19 vaccines, which in return was developed with funding from U.S. taxpayers by private pharmaceutical firms.
So, in other words, the Covid pandemic was one big ploy for the government to get massively wealthy.
Through the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), 56,000 transactions were recorded, totaling over $325 million banked by the “experts.”
“The NIH continues to refuse to voluntarily divulge the names of scientists who receive royalties and from which companies over the period of time from 2010 to 2016, 27,000 royalty payments were paid to 1800 NIH employees,” Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) said. “We know that. Not because you told us, but because we forced you to tell us through the Freedom of Information Act.”

The Democrat + 2 Rino J6 Investigators did not interview either Steven Sund or Senate Police Chief or Congress' Police Chief. Instead, all of them were fired. The Capitol Police Intelligence Chief, Yogananda Pittman was promoted as Assistant Capitol Police Chief and allowed to retire 6 months later so she could qualify for an enhanced pension, even while she was given a $245,000/year job as Police Chief at U of Berkley, just outside then Speaker Pelosi's district.
Throughout all the much ballyhooed "Insurrection" by Trump supporters, Nancy Pelosi's daughter and her husband were filming inside and outside the Capitol. They continued to film even while 4 Trump supporters were murdered.
Yet Biden and Pelosi have arrested and put nearly 800 J6 rallygoers into prison without charges, into solitary confinement, denying them their rights and violating the requirement of Habeas Corpus under which no citizen can be held for over 48 hours without being charged or released. Their excuse is that Trump supporters, even when merely walking in the Capitol grounds, were the same as terrorists like ISIS and are such a national security threat that the evidence against them cannot be disclosed; and this justifies holding them without charges.
In fact, they are being held in solitary, with constant postponements of their trials, in order to bankrupt them and break them; and coerce then into accepting a 'plea deal' of pleading guity to a felony and a sentence 10 years in jail in exchange for being released eventually. Many have refused this deal and are still in jail. Some have suffered so much under this stress that they have killed themselves. The founder of Oath Keepers, an attorney who graduated from Yale Law School, Stewatt Rhodes, III, has been found 'guilty' and sentenced to 18 years in prison. But video footage shows the Oath Keepers helping to rescue a group of Capitol Hill Officers who found themselves surrounded inside the Capitol. and other Oath Keepers protecting an officer who found himself alone and surrounded.
Steven Sund was not told of credible threats which the FBI had of possible riots at the Trump Rally. Nancy Pelosi refused the assistance of the National Guard offered by President Trump. When the riots started and Steven Sund begged for assistance, Pelosi herself denied assistance from the National Guard for 5 hours while his Capitol Police were under attack. None of this was investigated by Pelosi's committee.
As you would know, the J6 investigators, headed by Nancy Pelosi, have now destroyed all the evidence pf their hearings which lasted over a year.
Sund also said the Chief of the DC Police was not allowed to go to assist the Secret Service when Antifa & BLM were attacking the White House and Trump. They set fire to St John's Church in Lafayette Park. The White House fences were nearly breached. Over 200 officers were injured. And President Trump had to be moved to a secure location. But there was no claim this was an "Insurrection" by BLM & Antifa!

Senator Rick Scott sent a letter to the Palm Beach County School District Superintendent Mike Burke following the recent reports that five administrators and educators in the school district have been charged with felonies for failing to report an alleged sexual assault in 2021 of a 15-year-old student under their care, yet, still remain employed by the district. In his letter, Senator Scott demands that those responsible be fired immediately. Under no circumstances should they continue to be paid with taxpayer money after failing to fulfill their basic duties as caretakers for students.
