Van Yandell - GOD’S GLORY IS IN MOTION
Job 26: 7 “He stretches out the north over empty space; He hangs the earth on nothing.”
When hearing the word “glory,” many of us immediately think of the glory of God. Romans 3: 23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
In Romans 6: 23, glory refers to God’s righteousness. We, being human captives-of-the-flesh beings, cannot be righteous on our own. Only by the blood of our precious Savior Jesus can we become righteous in a spiritual sense.
1 John 1: 7 “We are cleansed by His blood.” Eternal salvation is a faith based (Ephesians 2: 8-9) belief in Christ Jesus crucified (Matthew 27: 35), for the remission of sin (Acts 2: 38) and resurrected (Matthew 28: 6).
Glory can only be His. Jesus on earth was God in the flesh (John 1: 14). All things are by Him and for Him. He was/is the Creator (John 1: 3).
There are many ways in which we may appreciate the glory of God. To observe His creation (Genesis 1: 1) is one of those ways. To witness His creation is many times seen in a picture or painting. To view a mountain scene, the ocean or a landscape is a first-hand witnessing of God’s glory.
One of my favorite observations is a clear night sky. The moon and the stars are indeed a demonstration of His greatest handiwork. To see the moon move, to watch the sun rise over an ocean and to see stars that are hundreds of light years away tell me He is alive and all is well.
Seeing a satellite pass over is to observe God’s glory in the genius of His great creation (Genesis 1: 27), that of mankind. A “falling star (meteorite) proves He is in control of the universe (Jeremiah 33: 22).
Matthew 10: 30 “But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.” God knows every molecule, every atom and every speck of knowledge lodged within our minds. His magnitude is without comprehension. Yet millions try to match wits with Him and they are destined to miserably fail.
To consider Him and His universe is beyond understanding. The enormity of His masterpiece is beyond words and human comprehension.
We, however, also fail to realize that His work is in constant motion. He created the universe in motion. Galaxies are constantly swirling. The stars and their solar systems are in orbit around the center of the galaxies.
Astronomers tell us the universe is continually expanding. The outer galaxies are speeding away from the center. Many believe this proves the universe began by what is called The Big Bang. In one-billionth of a second (at the big bang), the universe became billions of light years across but nothing theoretically can travel faster than the speed of light. Instantaneous creation by a Creator has been verified (Genesis 1: 1).
Spontaneous generation can only be possible by a higher spiritual power; a Creator (Colossians 1: 16). The second law of thermodynamics states order always devolves into chaos and chaos can never evolve into order. To expect a junk pile to turn into a new car would be considered foolish. Science actually verifies intelligent design and creation.
We live in the Milky Way galaxy. It is 100,000 light years across. If we could travel at the speed of light, 186,282 miles per second, it would take 100,000 years to cross this one galaxy. Astronomers estimate after the placing of the Hubble and James Webb telescopes in space, there are over 200 billion galaxies in the universe and some are even stating numbers in trillions.
At creation, God set the movements of the moons, planets, suns/stars, and galaxies in motion. The exacting speeds and spins determine gravity which holds them in place. The size of the celestial bodies is also a determining factor in gravitational forces and those also were surely established by a higher power.
Our solar system (sun and the planets) is in a perfect balanced orbit around the galaxy. We are traveling through the Milky Way at a speed of 800,000 kilometers per hour (514,000 miles per hour). At that speed, it takes 230 million years for our sun and planets to make one orbit of the galaxy.
The moon at an average of 240,000 miles from earth is perfectly timed at the speed of 2288 miles per hour to sustain its orbit. Changing the distance from the earth or slowing it down would cause it to fall. This perfect timing has been maintained for millions of years.
It amazes me that millions of people believe these perfect speeds, distances and sizes that are so precisely balanced happened by accident or coincidentally. Could perfect synchronization happens by chance?
Our earth is also constantly in motion (Isaiah 40: 22). The orbit around the sun and the rotational factor that determines day from night is obvious. There is also an inner turmoil that is constantly redesigning the planet under our feet. Earthquakes and volcanos around the world are reshaping our world both on the surface and underneath.
In addition our atmosphere is also in constant motion (Ecclesiastes 1: 6). The winds provide a cooling breeze, provide power for generating electricity, bring us rain, move and reshape the clouds. The beauty of the clouds is one of the greatest visible effects of our God in motion. The shapes and colors are the envy of every artist that has taken a brush to canvas.
Even the blood flowing through our veins is God’s creation in motion (Leviticus 17: 11). Our blood pumps through our bodies in thirty to forty-five seconds. We have over 60,000 miles of veins, arteries and capillaries that feed oxygen and nutrients to our thirty-trillion cells.
Our hearts will beat two and one-half billion beats in an average lifetime and pump enough blood to fill a super tanker.
Our bodies have a central nervous system that is in motion. We have 15 billion brain cells that store every bit of knowledge we have ever been exposed to. They store our experiences, emotions and preferences.
Electrical connections between our brain cells are constantly moving. These connections and disconnections called synapses join the eighty-six billion neurons and electrically connect and disconnect at a speed nearing light’s speed. We wonder why our brains won’t let us sleep some nights. Maybe those synapses do not want to turn off.
From the movement of growing grass and other plants to the speed of light, God’s universe is constantly in motion. The moving clouds, birds in flight and the flow of the world’s rivers are clearly a demonstration of His glory.
The last words spoken by our Jesus before ascending into Heaven provided us with a commandment. “Go ye therefore,” requires movement and was not a suggestion.
We are HIS hands, feet and voices here on earth (Isaiah 52: 7). Telling others about the amazing power of God and salvation by a faith based belief in Christ Jesus is a privilege. When we miss the blessing of sharing the gospel we are cheating ourselves and missing one of the greatest gifts from God (Acts 1: 8).
John 3: 16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.”

The so-called major news outlets like ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, and MSNBC barely gave Donald Trump "the time of day" after he left the White House, despite the massive news stories that he generated and the massive crowds that he drew at events and rallies. However now that the "Fake News" executives have seen the way that the Democrats have done their best to send Trump to prison... THE NETWORKS CAN'T GET ENOUGH COVERAGE OF AN... "INDICTED ON MULTIPLE CRIMINAL CHARGES" DONALD TRUMP.
The mainstream Media in America has... SOLD ITS SOUL, TO FIT IN WITH MAJOR CORPORATE ENTITIES AND BIG-NAME POLITICAL DECISION MAKERS, ON BOTH SIDES OF THE AISLE IN THIS COUNTRY, WHO HATE DONALD TRUMP. And, as such... THE FOURTH ESTATE IS TOTALLY DEAD!
Most of this country's... LARGEST TV AND RADIO NETWORKS, ALONG WITH OUR LONG ESTABLISHED, AND AT ONE TIME THE MOST WELL RESPECTED MAJOR NEWSPAPERS IN THIS COUNTRY, HAVE ABANDONED THEIR ROLE AS THE PEOPLE'S VANGUARD... THEREBY SELLING ALL OF US COMMONERS OUT.
Many, if not all, of our much-needed News organizations no longer live up to the role that was assigned to them when the country first came into existence. The "Independent Media" was to be above and beyond reproach, totally incorruptible, and given the responsibility of making sure that all the interests of the average American were to always be protected. However... THE ONCE TRUSTED VANGUARD OF THE PEOPLE HAS BECOME TOTALLY CORRUPT AND ONE SIDED, SO THE PEOPLE NO LONGER BELIEVE A WORD THAT OUR MEDIA REPRESENTATIVES SPEAK OR WRITE.
When this country was founded well over 200 years ago, there were to be Three Branches of Government, and they were to be Equal, with all the necessary Checks and Balances associated with each branch, to ensure that there would always be True Equality across the branches. And, in their infinite wisdom, the Founding Fathers also felt that those three separate branches, the Executive, the Legislative, and the Judicial should always have another solely independent entity, a Fourth Estate, that would constantly scrutinize the daily operations of the three branches at the top, and... WOULD SERVE AS A WATCHDOG THAT WOULD KEEP THE THREE BRANCHES HONEST, AN ESTATE THAT WOULD DIG DEEPLY AT TIMES TO ASK THE VERY IMPORTANT QUESTIONS, SO THAT THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WOULD KNOW WHAT WAS CLEARLY HAPPENING IN OUR GOVERNMENT AT ALL TIMES!
I can speak to this from a position of experience, being "up close and personal" as a Journalist and Reporter in the newspaper business, then as an Editor, and finally as a Managing Editor of a newspaper, responsible for all aspects of the paper on a daily basis. In journalism, the first thing that is taught is to always strive for the Truth in every story, listening to and gathering information from all sides and from all angles. When a person is responsible for every part of a newspaper, it is "drilled in" to the thinking that Advertising Revenues are... THE LIFE BLOOD OF EVERY NEWSPAPER, BRINGING IN A PROFIT IS ALWAYS BE MAINTAINED TO KEEP THE DOORS OPEN, BUT THAT PROFIT IS NEVER TO BE COMPROMISED, OR TO BE MADE... IN EXCHANGE FOR THE TRUTH IN ANY STORY.
There were never to be any Compromises made in Media, or in the presentation of any of its News Content!
However, somewhere along the way, especially in the current political climate in the United States... THE PROFITS THAT ARE BROUGHT IN BY TV, RADIO, AND WRITTEN MEDIA ARE SOLD TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER, AND THE TRUTH IS NOT ALWAYS PRESENTED, LEAVING THE PEOPLE TO SEE AND HEAR INFORMATION THAT THOSE WITH THE "DEEPEST POCKETS" WANT YOU TO SEE AND HEAR.
Some of the once greatest newspapers in this country, are no longer "at the top of their game" when it comes to business, so to speak, and they allegedly lost both Readers and Subscriber Profits, as the news that they produce began to become One Sided and Slanted to present to its readers and buyers information that they wanted the masses to believe... WHETHER COMPLETELY TRUTHFUL OR NOT.
The legendary Washington Post, which had as its slogan "Democracy Dies In The Dark", and which ran a series of articles decades ago that broke open the story of the break-in at the Democrat Party headquarters in the Washington, D.C. Watergate Complex that eventually caused a sitting U.S. president, Republican Richard Nixon, to resign from that office for the first time in American history... is a newspaper that has reportedly lost 500,000 subscribers since the 2020 election for news coverage that was "not always impartial".......!
In addition, the famous New York Times, which is nicknamed The Gray Lady with a slogan of "All The News That's Fit To Be Print", and which in its illustrious history uncovered the infamous New York City government Tammany Hall corruption scandal that led to the downfall of once all powerful American Democrat political power broker William "Boss" Tweed... has been slammed, then lost enormous respect in some circles recently, for not reporting, or under reporting, certain news stories that may have given certain Democrat politicians and their policies a "negative light"........!
In addition, if you watch, closely scrutinize, and also analyze by doing your own research regarding the information that comes from ABC, CBS, NBC, NPR, other national news outlets and their local affiliates, then you can see that... THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA, THE PEOPLE'S "WATCH DOG"... HAS SOLD THE AMERICAN PEOPLE OUT.

Here's where we are IN A NUTSHELL!!
There have been effective presidents for their particular time in history.
The disposition of Truman in the 40's helped him to be strong enough to do the unthinkable and drop two nukes, killing men, women, and children. It was for the greater good of the entire world. Could you live with making that call?
Times in the fifties were peaceful because of Truman's actions.That transferred the criteria to the need for a strong but compassionate president to help rebuild Europe and Japan, and focus on domestic conditions like infrastructure, healthcare, and civil rights, that had been neglected for the previous two decades, plus the steady population growth increasing needs.
Each state wanted their share first. It required cooperation, bipartisanship, and statesmanship.
Sadly, it is now time for the strongest fortitude a man can have. We are no longer the superpower we were and technology allows backwards, tribal terrorists to threaten our security on our own soil.
We don't need to be mandy pandy sipping tea.
We need Teddy Roosevelt, John Wayne, and a heaping portion of Rick Flair, for intimidation.
We need someone not afraid to demand we follow real science and make intelligent decisions instead of PC, emotional agendas.
EV's are not green because the batteries are charged by fossil or nuclear fuel. Any other story is a lie.
That doesnt even account for the environmental catastrophies caused by the production and disposal of batteries. Where are the proponents finding justification?
We need integrity. Everyone knows the current dictator regime is corrupt and have turned govermental agencies and our election process into fraud on steroids. The proof is there but some wish to overlook and deny it, but will condemn a soul over a mean tweet.
You can drive the final nail in the coffin of all soveriegn nations and hand the reigns over to the United Nations, who the US created. The UN will cannibalize it's own.
We need the same man who brought record breaking success in his first term. Noone likes to swallow the medicine but everyone wants to get better.
We need Donald J. Trump.

Dear Editor,
According to the Chronicle articles of August 25 & 27th, 2023, the Citrus County Library Board and four of our County Commissioners support cutting ties with the American Library Association - that has been promoting LGBTQ children's books and drag queen storytelling. I commend these decisions, as children really need to be taught and not confused - so that they can learn the basics of reading, writing, and math!
On September 7th at 5:00 PM
The county commissioners will have a meeting . . .

. . . on whether or not to pay for membership in the above mentioned ALB. Hopefully the commissioners will stand firm on their convictions and vote No! There will be public input where the public can voice their opinions on that and any other proposed budget items.
Another item to consider at the meeting is the proposed property tax increase.
There are many in this county who cannot afford more taxes- after the stormwater increase - one man sounded as if he would lose his house because of that one.
It is not a question of affordability or not, however - it is: is raising the taxes right or wrong?
According to the internet the revenue this year is approx 13 million & 164 thousand dollars more than last year yet the proposed millage is 8.24 from 7.76!
Hope that the commissioners reconsider that tax hike.
Some may wish to make some comments on this also- so that people will be able to keep their homes and businesses instead of them being sold for Tax Deeds!!
