Donalds Introduces The Reform Immigration Through Biometrics Act: Strengthening Border Security With Accountability
WASHINGTON – Congressman Byron Donalds (R-FL) has introduced legislation requiring a formal evaluation of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s (CBP) progress in implementing a full biometric entry-exit data system.
The “Reform Immigration Through Biometrics Act” is the 23rd piece of legislation proposed by Congressman Donalds during the 119th Congress. This bill mandates that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) report to Congress on the system’s implementation. This requirement aims to identify hurdles causing delays, close security gaps, track visa overstays more accurately, and ensure full border security.
“Knowing who has come into our country is fundamental to our nation’s sovereignty and survival. Under President Trump’s leadership and with the help of the Department of Homeland Security, the border has been secured, but the work is far from over. Visa overstays and fraudulent documentation remain a large piece of the overall illegal immigration puzzle that needs to be addressed,” said Congressman Byron Donalds (R-FL). “The American people have entrusted Republicans with a clear mandate to secure our borders and resolve the immigration crisis—and we are committed to delivering on that promise. This bill is a critical step forward in delivering on this mandate. I am proud to introduce the Reform Immigration Through Biometrics Act to finally ensure oversight of our nation’s biometric entry-exit system.”
WHAT THIS BILL DOES:
This bill seeks a formal evaluation of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s (CBP) progress in implementing a full biometric entry-exit data system.
BACKGROUND:
Biometric: An objective measurement of a physical characteristic used to verify identity against database records. Main types: Fingerprints, facial images, and iris scans.
In its July 2004 report, the 9/11 Commission recommended that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) implement a comprehensive biometric entry-exit system to enhance national security.
8 U.S.C. 1365a(d)(3) requires the federal government to “fully implement [an] integrated [biometric] entry and exit data system.”
In December 2006, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) fully implemented a biometric entry system for foreign nationals. While a comprehensive biometric exit system does not yet cover every port, it is currently being mandated nationwide following a December 2025 final rule.

Dear Fellow Floridian,
Last weekend our nation witnessed yet another assassination attempt on President Trump at the annual White House Correspondents Dinner. This deranged man told his family he believed it was his duty to target President Trump and administration officials. This type of thinking is a natural consequence after a decade of the far left’s extreme and violent rhetoric, calling the President a “fascist”, a “racist” and a “dictator” and where TV personalities like Jimmy Kimmel openly cheer for his death.
I know what it’s like to be talked about like that, because I’ve dealt with it, too. Hasan Piker, a far-left online commentator, has publicly and repeatedly for my murder as well as the killing of capitalists. He glorifies terrorism, praises Hamas, defended the October 7th attacks and has said that America deserved 9/11. Considering these remarks, Piker was invited to address an audience at Yale University. Yale receives hundreds of millions of dollars in federal funding. This is unacceptable. It is why I have pushed to strip Yale of its federal funding, and I recently explained more to the Wall Street Journal about it. The Democrats, of course, have made zero effort to call any of this out. In fact, some of elected Democrats even traveled to Cuba with Piker to shill for the evil Castro/Diaz-Canel regime.
Any form of political violence is unacceptable. Calling for it is unacceptable. Glorifying it is unacceptable. It is time for all of it to stop.
Additionally, last week’s assassination attempt on President Trump also emphasized the importance of getting the White House ballroom completed, so that presidents have a secure space for big events like the one on Saturday night. Democrats and rogue judges are holding the project up, which is just absurd. Nobody at this point can argue there isn’t a critical, immediate need for this project. We don’t even need to use tax dollars for it; it’s already paid for with private funds. This needs to move forward and be completed as soon as possible.
Finally, Congress successfully passed funding for the majority of the Department of Homeland Security. Because the Democrats have chosen to fight for criminal illegal aliens instead of the American people, Republicans have been forced to fund ICE and CBP personnel through the reconciliation process which will take another few weeks.
It does not have to take that long, however. What I have said repeatedly now is that we should get this done right away, blow up the filibuster, and then move ahead pass the rest of the America First agenda. I believe that the people of Florida and the rest of the country deserve results from us here in Washington, and the best way to deliver those results is to get the filibuster out of the way and get to work. I promise to keep fighting for you in Washington.

Some believe the United States and its military are on the ropes and Iran is running circles around us. Others believe that Donald Trump has been outfoxed by the Iranian leaders. Some believe that Trump is backing down because he has extended the naval blockade instead of bombing them back into the Stone Age. Even Sunday morning pundits have been quick to declare that Trump doesn’t have the killer instinct. That he will not finish them off.
Personally, I believe we are in the eye of a storm, much like in a hurricane. If you know anything about these storms, you know that the eye of the storm will pass over, making everything seem tranquil. Then, when the back winds make their presence known, we are caught up again in the volatile winds of nature gone wild. We have an armada of warships, warplanes, sophisticated drones, in addition to United States Marines, Army, Airmen, and Special Forces units over there. Believe me, they are not sitting around idle, roasting marshmallows and hot dogs.
I am convinced they have spread out over Iran to locate and retrieve Iran’s uranium when ordered to do the takedown, even if it means sending our boys in to take custody of this radioactive material. I am also convinced that we are looking for those who believe they are the ones in charge, so that we can take them down when the order comes. And I do believe we have a master plan to bring this war to an end and this regime to its knees. But first, we will bankrupt them economically. In the end, we will defeat them.
Most of us, including myself, want to live in a peaceful world, but unfortunately, we have bad actors we have to deal with, or we can choose to ignore them until it’s too late. Fortunately, this president has decided to act. Many have underestimated Trump before. Many have had to eat crow. If we had peaceful leaders and people were free of abuse and oppression, yes, the world would be a better place to live in. Until then, we must get the following message out. MOTHER PLAYED A BABY GRAND

Why do singers get the attention, while composers and musicians are the real talent behind the voices? Many can sing but few have the ability to strike the ivories with precision to extract a musical tone.
As far back as memory allows, my mother sat at her old Wellington piano and played. Not to brag but she was very good. My musical talents certainly didn’t take after hers, with my ability to play a radio being a major challenge.
Wellington pianos were made by the Cable Piano Company in New York City. Their manufacture dated from 1885 until 1953.
Possibly mother obtained the piano from her mother and it became a part of the family in the early 1900’s
The piano was unbelievably heavy and would have been a load for the Egyptian pyramid builders. I kept it several years after she died but finally gave it to a church in Hopkins County, Kentucky.
The swivel stool, however, we kept. A few years ago I sanded it and painted it a light ivory color. It is now in our shower bath and used as a vanity stool.
I’m told the stool is a collector’s item. It has glass balls on the bear claw feet and the legs and spindles are lathe turned. It’s actually quite a conversation piece with memories attached.
Her favorite songs to play were “Leaning on the Everlasting Arms” (Elisha Hoffman) and “Boogie-Woogie” (Clarence “Pinetop” Smith). I often told her if she ever needed a job she could get a job in a honky-tonk or on a cruise boat.
I well remember her playing and stomping the petals. She fit the stool perfectly, squirming around on it, giving an illusion of a sitting dance. I don’t recall seeing her any happier than when she was playing her piano.
We lived in Marathon, Texas in the years before I started first grade in Kentucky. She played in the Marathon Baptist Church there. Often she mentioned the “baby grand” she played in that church.
I thought for years she had given the piano the name “baby grand.” About 1978, we went to West Texas and one of our stops was Marathon. When I walked through the door of that little white church about three blocks north of Highway 90, I realized why she called it a baby grand.
There sat a miniature grand piano. Immediately I knew the one that had played that piano in the early 1950’s was my sweet mother. If I had only thought and recorded some of her songs they would be an earthly treasure.
God gives us skills and abilities we can use to glorify Him. They may be building, organizational or skills dealing with church finances.
He also gives us spiritual gifts such as evangelism, preaching/teaching or workers of Jesus’ mandate to be His witnesses.
Proverbs 16: 3 “Commit thy works unto the Lord and thy plans shall be established.” In mother’s generation, the significance of the Great Commission (Acts 1: 8) did not seem to be of particular urgency. As a child however, I saw her actions as a way of daily life.
Mom’s age group however, had their missions group. They met each month. A mission’s magazine was summarized so they would remain knowledgeable about Christian outreach around the world.
There were special weeks each year for focus on local, state and international missions. They sometimes referred to the Acts 1: 8 scripture which included the many locations around the world where missionaries were active.
I can only imagine how devastated my mother and father would be to see the world in the condition it is in now. Wars on numerous fronts, hatred greater than Americans have seen since the Civil War and the Ten Commandments are literally ignored by society. If Christian missions have ever been needed it is now.
Leviticus 18: 22, Proverbs 22: 6, Genesis 1: 27 and Matthew 16: 18 have been perverted to the point my parent’s generation would shudder at the thought.
Racial tensions exist where we should be working together to unify mankind rather than constantly looking for reasons to divide us. Acts 10: 35 “Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons.”
Mother used to say “There’s only one race and that’s the human race.” She considered every person as someone that Jesus died for.
It certainly appears in retrospect, her piano was her way of conveying her feelings. At times, it became a method of relieving frustration but those times were few. The intensity of her fingers on the keys were an indication of her attitude at the time.
We often wish we could go back in time and ask our parents questions or simply sit and listen to their experiences in life. My memories are many of mother’s words but if life was to live over, without a doubt, recordings of her piano would be a part of my most precious possessions.
Of all her teachings, to believe in a crucified Savior was at the top of the list. She believed with all her heart, soul and mind that Christ Jesus died for her sins and the sins of the world.
My memories of her are precious. For any mother that may read this, consider the memories you are leaving your children; they last a lifetime.
